Just have to wonder how long this can continue before there are lasting negative impacts.

There definitely has to be a trickle-down effect on suppliers with these slowdowns. Also, Dave, I'm hoping the quarterly report shows actual shipments so we can have an idea of what was existing stock versus the new builds through the summer. I also would be curious to see the fleet sales breakdown.

I hadn't thought of that, a lot of suppliers tend to be on the edge regardless.
Fleet sales were 15% which is a bit scary.
I do suspect Ram 1500 Classic had a good number of sales given it likely has fewer chips...

I found this old article regarding fleet sales: https://www.allpar.com/threads/2006-13-fca-fleet-sales-numbers-vs-quality.234049/

15% actually sounds low, I have a feeling they are still restricting sales to rental fleets but are filling better "quality" fleet orders.

As far as DS production, there were some production shutdowns but I assumed they were associated with the Wagoneer launch prep.

Re retail sales... could be. They've been floating around 15% for a while, though. That was 2006, quite some time ago!

I forgot about Wagoneer launch being in the same plant as DS.

I’ve wondered what is doing to banks and finance companies. This kind of prolonged downturn has to be taking some toll.
