This morning, the Dodge brand announced an orange-themed appearance package and a black-themed appearance package for both the Challenger and Charger. These simple orange-and-black appearance packages were announced just in time for both Halloween and National Black Cat Day – although neither package is available for ordering until later this year.
“The HEMI Orange and SRT Black packages offer two distinctive appearance options for the 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand CEO – Stellantis. “Performance-vehicle owners are unique, and these two packages offer our customers the chance to stand out even more on the street.”
Dodge Hemi Orange Package
First up, we have the Hemi Orange package for the 2022 Dodge Challenger and Charger in GT RWD or Scat Pack Widebody form.
This package begins on the outside, with vehicle-length gun metal gray striping with orange accents, a Midnight Grey Metallic grille with orange trim and unique orange fender badges. On Scat Pack Widebody models, this package also includes orange Brembo six-piston brake calipers under Carbon Black “Warp Speed” 20×11-inch wheels while the GT RWD models have orange four-piston Brembo calipers behind Gloss Black 20×9-inch wheels.
Inside, 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger models with the Hemi Orange package will get orange stitching on the instrument panel, upper door panels, center armrest, console lid, shift boot and steering wheel.
There is also orange stitching on the seats, with the Dodge “rhombi” logo on the seatback, while the steering wheel trim, shifter mechanism, cluster trim, cup holders and vent rings are all black. For the Charger and Challenger Scat Pack Widebody, the Hemi Orange package also adds an orange 392 badge on the passenger’s side of the dashboard.
The Hemi Orange package can be ordered starting during the fourth quarter of 2021. This package costs $2,995 for the GT RWD Charger or Challenger and it includes the Performance Handling Package. For the Scat Pack Widebody models, the Hemi Orange package costs just $1,500.
The Hemi Orange package will also be offered for the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T, but details for that model won’t be announced until early next year.
SRT Black Package for Challenger, Charger
The SRT Black Package is already offered on the Dodge Durango SRT 392, but starting in the fourth quarter of this year, you can order it on the Challenger and Charger in Hellcat or Redeye trim. This package is also available on the Challenger Super Stock, as shown below.
On the Challenger, this simple appearance package adds Midnight Grey Metallic badging on the grille, fenders and rear spoiler while the Charger sports the unique badging on the grille, fenders and rear decklid. The Charger SRT Black Package also adds Black Nickel exhaust tips, which come standard on the 2022 Challenger Hellcat and Redeye.
This package costs just $695 and it will also be available to order during the fourth quarter of 2021.
