Second news brief first: The Jeep Gladiator is temporarily being paused due to parts shortages, while the Wrangler will stay in full production.
First brief second: Ralph Gilles provided a snapshot of a global design meeting, bringing together design leaders for every Stellantis brand.
Ralph wrote, “What an honor to team up with Jean-Pierre Ploue, long time head of PSA design and now the head of Design for our Peugeot, Opel, Citroen, Abarth, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and DS brands. One of the industry’s most prolific leaders and IMHO one of the best designers of our times! Using the ultimate telepresence setup! Today we spend a special day with most of our collective global #stellantis design leadership to share strategy and respective brand DNAs.”
What else can one say about the meeting, other than noting that Jeep and Jeep China are listed separately? Courtesy Marc Rozman.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
