Gold Rush Now Available on Dodge Charger R/T, Scat Pack, Hellcat and Redeye

The Dodge brand announced last night that the Gold Rush exterior option is now available on the 2021 Dodge Charger. Anyone who wants to order an R/T, Scat Pack or SRT Hellcat – including the 797-horsepower Redeye (above) – can now pick the dark metallic gold hue from the list of heritage inspired exterior colors. Other heritage inspired colors for the 2021 Charger include Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green and Go Mango.

“The customer response to the Dodge Challenger Gold Rush exceeded our expectations,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand Chief Executive Officer – Stellantis. “We’re sticking to that successful Dodge formula of proliferating our most popular options across the lineup and giving Charger customers, who want the Gold Rush color, the option to have it on their four-door muscle car.”

Gold Rush was introduced on the 2020 Dodge Challenger as part of the model’s 50th Anniversary Limited Edition package (above), but it has remained on the option list for the 2021 model of the two-door muscle car. Now it can also be ordered on the 2021 Dodge Charger, provided that you are buying or leasing a Hemi-powered model.

Gold Rush is not currently listed on Dodge.com, so we don’t know if it will cost more, but we expect that it will not. There is no charge for Gold Rush on the 2021 Challenger and there are no Charger paint colors which come with an upcharge, but there is a catch of sorts for getting your sedan in metallic gold. You have to also get the satin black-painted hood, roof, trunk lid and spoiler, which is a $3,495 option, so getting a Gold Rush Charger R/T, Scat Pack (below), Hellcat or Redeye will effectively cost you about $3,500 more than one of the exterior colors that doesn’t require the black top treatment.

You can officially begin ordering the Hemi-powered Dodge Charger models in Gold Rush starting “this spring”, but we don’t know exactly when. We imagine that it will be relatively soon, so if you are serious about ordering a new Charger in gold, talk to your local Dodge dealership for more information.
