If you attended any of the Roadkill Nights by Dodge held in Metro Detroit in 2015 through 2019, you know what an awesome event it was prior to Covid-19 forcing the cancellation of the 2020 show.
For those unfamiliar with the event, it was held along the famous Woodward Avenue in Pontiac, Michigan, at the M1 Concourse road racing facility. The M1 Concourse grounds hosted the car show, Dodge Thrill Rides, concession stands and seats to watch the legal drag racing on Woodward Avenue. Seriously – they have organized street racing on one of the most famous racing streets in the world.
As mentioned above, Dodge had to cancel Roadkill Nights 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and there has been no word as to whether or not the event, which has typically been held in August, would happen in 2021. However, the official Dodge Facebook page shared the image below with a quote from company head Tim Kuniskis, seeking the input of the automotive community.
They want to know if the company should work at bringing Roadkill Nights back “this summer”. As this piece goes live, the post on Facebook has gotten about 1,600 shares and 532 comments, most of which support the return of Roadkill Nights by Dodge.
This image has also been shared in many automotive groups on social media, but people are commenting on the images in groups – not on the initial image on the Dodge page. This means that the people who need to see the support may not see all of it, so if you want to see Dodge hold Roadkill Nights in Metro Detroit this year, click here to comment on the original Dodge Facebook post.
Even if you cant make to Michigan to attend the event yourself, help those who can attend support one of the coolest automotive events anywhere in the country. Plus, Dodge had a live feed in past years, so everyone can enjoy the legal street racing action from home!
