New: Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T

Ram is launching two new pickup packages whose main addition is some Mopar aftermarket gear, added in at the factory.  G/T versions of the Ram 1500 Laramie and Rebel add a sport performance hood and G/T decals to distinguish them from the rest of the Rebel and Laramie lines, but that’s not the main attraction.

What earns the G/T label are factory-installed Mopar cold-end exhaust and cold-air intakes, also available for other trucks through; harder for owners to retrofit are the Performance Pages, which provide real-time vehicle performance information, including timers (such as 0-60 mph time), g-force, and added gauges. This data can be downloaded to a USB stick for easy sharing of driving performance.

The Ram 1500 G/T models have three firsts for non-TRX models paddle shifters, a console-mounted performance shifter, and a metal pedal kit. They also have G/T-logo bucket seats with high bolsters, and all-weather Mopar floor mats.

The G/T trucks are available in a Crew Cab configuration with the 5.7-liter V-8 with eTorque mild-hybrid assist. With destination included, the Laramie G/T starts at $57,175, while the Rebel G/T starts at $57,070. Both go on sale in the third quarter of this year.
