Stellantis’ $35 billion electrification bet

Stellantis, like every other major automaker, is betting on a more electric future. In this case, the company is investing $35 billion in electrification, using a scalable family of three electric-drive modules. The company is working on solid state batteries as well as two conventional chemistries.

The company is planning four flexible BEV platforms with a range of up to 500 miles, dubbed Small, Medium, Large, and Frame. Large and Frame are both to get the 500-mile range, while Small is sticking with a more conventional range and Medium is between them.
