Updated Information on 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Pricing

Earlier today, we looked at the pricing information for the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX based on the RamTrucks consumer website. After speaking with some folks who ordered a 2022 TRX, who also shared their invoices with us, we found that there were some differences between the Ram Trucks website and the pricing at the dealership. Upon seeing that, we reached out to the folks at Ram for more information and as it turns out, the information on the brand’s website is inaccurate.

The company is currently making the changes so that the website reflects the proper numbers, but in the meantime, here is the most recent pricing from the Ram brand. Again, these numbers may not match what you see on the Ram Trucks website, but these are official pricing numbers.

2022 Ram 1500 TRX Pricing Changes

The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX base price is $73,380, up from $70,325 in 2021. The change in destination fees from $1,695 to $1,795 is accurate, so getting into a 702-horsepower Ram 1500 without any options will start at $75,175. That is $3,155 more than the base price with destination for the 2021 models. It should be noted that the Remote Start system, which was part of the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group or as a $245 standalone option, is now standard on all TRX models for 2022.

Next, this morning we reported that the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group had gone down in pricing and the Technology Group was not listed at all. As it turns out, the Level 2 group has gone up, from $7,920 in 2021 to $9,995 for 2022. However, the price increase comes with the addition of the Technology Group content from the 2021 models, which adds Head-Up Display, the digital rearview mirror/camera system and an LED third brake light. That being said, if you are getting a 2022 TRX with the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group and no other options, you are looking at a price of $85,170. A 2021 TRX with the Level 2 group, the Technology Group and the same $100 fee for the monotone black paint would have run you $81,135. In short, the loaded-up TRX is right around $4,000 more for 2022 before adding any other options.

Finally, this morning the Trailer Tow Package for the 2022 TRX was listed with a price of $1,695. This same package added just $395 to the bottom line for 2021, so it seemed odd that it would be so much more expensive for the new year. As it turns out, the Trailer Tow Package actually costs $295 for 2022, so it costs less – not more.

As reported this morning, the pricing for the other features and options not mentioned above remain unchanged for the new model year. This includes things like Advanced Safety , Bed Utility and Carbon Fiber interior packages, as well as standalone options such as exterior graphics, beadlock capable wheels, RamBar, bed-mounted spare tire carrier, tonneau cover, rock rails, running boards, dual pane sunroof and the Trailer Reverse Steering System.
