A Closer Look at 2022 Dodge Challenger Super Stock Pricing

Dodge has dominated the consumer-level drag racing scene for the past few years thanks to the introduction of the Challenger and Charger Hellcat models, but along the way, the brand has issued several muscle cars that were designed to lay down incredible stock quarter mile times. Of course, the first was the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon, followed by the Challenger 1320 and most recently, the Challenger Super Stock.

2022 Dodge Challenger

The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock was formally introduced for the 2021 model year as the ultimate full production quarter mile street car. With 807 horsepower, it is the most powerful American production car shy of the 2018 Demon, but unlike the 840-horsepower Demon, the Super Stock is not limited to a particular production number. The Super Stock also isn’t quite as potent as the Demon, but there is no other car sold in America today with this much power and this much drag strip potential.

In addition to the 807-horsepower supercharged Hemi, the Dodge Challenger Super Stock comes with an adjustable suspension system with the Track mode designed for the drag strip, along with lightweight brakes and lightweight 18-inch wheels wrapped in the same Nitto drag radials as the Demon – sans the Demon logo, of course. The Super Stock is capable of running a mid-10-second quarter mile in stock form, but with better tires and some seat time, owners have run in the 9-second range.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is an impressive machine, but it seems that some people in the Mopar community – including some dealership-level employees – aren’t familiar with the 807-horsepower muscle car. With that in mind, here is a look at the online build process for the first 800-horsepower full production car from an American automaker.

Building the Challenger Super Stock

The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is technically the most expensive trim level when it comes to base pricing, starting at $85,675 with destination and Gas Guzzler Tax. At that price point, you can pick three colors free of charge – Pitch Black, White Knuckle or TorRed. For $95, you can pick from Granite, Smoke Show, Triple Nickel, Indigo Blue, Frostbite Blue or F8 Green while Hellraisin, Octane Red, Go Mango and Sinamon Stick are all $395. After you pick your exterior color, you can choose from dual carbon fiber stripes, a black satin painted roof, a black satin painted hood or a full-top black satin treatment that covers the hood, roof and trunk lid. As you can see in the images here, I have built this Super Stock to match my Hellcat in Go Mango with a black hood. I’ve also added the $425 Mopar hood pin kit because it looks awesome.

The Super Stock comes with red Brembo brake calipers but buyers have the option of selecting from black as well. Buyers can also pick between the standard rear spoiler or the SRT Performance spoiler, but for $995, I would opt for the standard design. Of course, the only wheel-and-tire option is the lightweight 18-inch wheels wrapped in Nitto drag radials.

When you get to the interior section of building a Challenger Super Stock online, you have many of the same options as the Redeye models, but if I were buying a factory-built drag car, I wouldnt want to add a bunch of weight. You can get the Harman Kardon sound system, a sunroof, the Technology Group (auto high beams, rain sensing wipers, etc), the Driver Convenience Group (Blind Spot Detection, HID headlights, power exterior mirrors) and a couple different interior upholstery packages, but if you want to keep the weight low, it is best to skip all of the interior options.

The 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen system is standard and for a dollar, you can get the weight-saving rear seat delete kit. Some people may want to add leather rather than sticking with the standard cloth, but to add leather seats, you also have to add the Plus Package and the Driver Convenience Group. In other words, the $1,750 leather seating package also requires about $3,400 in other upgrades, so I would stick with the nice, light cloth seats.

In summary, a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock in Go Mango with the black hood, the rear seat delete package and the Mopar hood pin kit has an MSRP of $88,491.

On the other hand, if you want a fully loaded Challenger Super Stock, adding the full black top paint, black brake calipers, the SRT Performance spoiler, Demonic red leather seats with red seat belts, navigation, the Harman speaker system, the sunroof, the carbon and suede interior package, the Technology Group and the SRT Black Package, the price tops out at $105,426.

If you are looking to kill some time today and you want to window shop, build your own Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock on the brand’s website. If you want even more options for customization with your 807-horsepower, there is also the Jailbreak model, which has slightly different pricing due to the level of customization.
