FCA Canada has closed ordering for the 2022 Challenger, Charger, and 300; vehicles ordered but not built will be moved to the 2023 model year later. Dealers can now order a variety of 2023 cars:
- Chrysler 300 Touring, Touring L, and 300S
- Dodge Charger SXT, GT, and R/T
- Dodge Challenger SXT, GT, and R/T
In Canada, the Dodge Charger now has standard LED headlamps, consigning halogens to history; they also have a “Last Call” plaque under the hood. The Driver Convenience Group has been combined with the Plus Group. Heated rear seats with illuminated cupholders are no longer included or optional on any models other than the SRT Hellcat, which still has standard heated rear seats. Finally, Dodge will bring back Plum Crazy Purple, Destroyer Grey, Sublime, and B5 Blue (late availability).
All Canadian 2023 Challengers get the underhood Last Call plaque, and combine Driver Convenience with the Plus Group. The body colored spoilers are replaced by black ones, and Plum Crazy, Destroyer Grey, Sublime and B5 Blue (late availability) come back.
Changes to individual models:
On the Charger SXT, the standard cloth seats will be Houndstooth; the six-Alpine-speaker setup with a 276 watt amp will be standard, but the Alpine Audio Group isn’t available on the RWD model; and the compact spare was replaced by a tire service kit.
On Charger GT, the fog lamps and steering wheel with paddle shifters are no longer standard,d but part of the Plus Group. The compact spare, as with Charger, was replaced by the tire kit.
On Charger R/T and Challenger R/T, the Hemi fender badge was replaced by a 345 fender badge; fog lamps are no longer standard, but part of Plus; and a new standard wheel finish replaced the old one.
Challenger SXT gets new standard wheels, with the same audio changes as Charger SXT.
Challenger GT has essentially the same changes as Charger GT, but the 276 watt amp and six Alpine speakers are standard.
On the Chrysler 300, the steering wheel is wrapped in leatherette instead of leather; the compact spare was replaced by a service kit (but is still available in the SafetyTec Plus group on Touring L and 300S); and the auto-dimming mirror was replaced by a day/night mirror (auto-dimming is still available in the Comfort Group on Touring L and 300S).
Some of these change are likely the result of parts shortages, while others are the usual model-year rejiggering.
