Dodge Begins Chief Donut Maker Contest

When Dodge first introduced the two-year Never Lift Plan, the company hinted to a new enthusiast role within the brand titled the Chief Donut Maker. Earlier this week, the search for that unique position began in the form of a contest that every Dodge lover can enter by simply making a short video. That video should show your passion, charisma and creativity relating to the Dodge brand in two minutes or less. If your video is chosen as one of the 10 best, you will be part of a reality TV-style video series in which you will compete for the title of Chief Donut Maker for Dodge.

“The Dodge Brothers were never content to follow the trends, they were the seekers of a better, faster, more outrageous way of doing things,” said Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis. “We’re looking to hire someone just like them as our chief donut maker, someone who will embody their crazy can-do America-muscle spirit and carry the torch of the single most engaged group of enthusiasts the automotive industry has to offer. And what better way to find them than creating this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive the No.1 muscle car in America.”

The Chief Donut Maker will serve as an ambassador for the Dodge brand, attending events like Roadkill Nights and a session at Radford Racing School, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. The Chief Donut Maker will receive a salary of $150,000, a new Dodge Hellcat car to drive and a full wardrobe of Dodge branded apparel.

Now, before you grab your keys and run off to make a huge burnout video to show that you can be the Chief Donut Maker for Dodge, you should check out the rules – as there are lots of them. One of the rules pertains to not doing burnouts or other illegal things on the street, so public hoonage videos aren’t likely to make the cut.

Of the 10 entrants who make it to the head-to-head phase of the process, run by Bill Goldberg, you will have to prove your ability to handle a Dodge Hellcat car when pushed to its limits. You will also have to show the marketing people that you have a good on-camera presence, which will play a key role in who wins the job.
