The Brampton plant which makes Dodge and Chrysler sedans and coupes has shut down due to a parts shortage. The situation must be fairly serious, because Dodge is also postponing its final Last Call car—originally scheduled for a debut at the SEMA show on November 1-4.
Dodge announced, “When product and supply challenges have been resolved, the reveal will be rescheduled.”
The “Last Call” models revealed so ar are the Challenger Shakedown, Charger Super Bee, Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger, Charger King Daytona, and Challenger Black Ghost. The current forms of the Charger and Challenger will be dropped at the end of 2023.
Dodge is also bringing back three beloved heritage exterior colors: B5 Blue, Plum Crazy purple, and Sublime green. One popular modern color, Destroyer Grey, also returns to the fold. 2023 Charger and Challenger R/T models will also have new “345” fender badging, a callout to the 345-cubic-inch HEMI® engine under the hood.
All 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger models carry a commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque made of brushed aluminum, with the phrases “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton.”
