Preregister for MSHS HEMI’nsanity, Get an Invite to Dodge Speed Week Debuts

Back on June 23rd, the Dodge announced that the brand would host several days of new product debuts during the week leading up to the Woodward Dream Cruise. Dodge Speed Week technically runs for more than a week, beginning with the media preview for Roadkill Nights on Friday August 12 and including Roadkill on the 13th and the Dream Cruise on the 20th. The new product debuts will take place on Monday the 15th, Tuesday the 16th and Wednesday the 17th.

As is usually the case, the product debuts will be open to the media, but the initial press release stated that Dodge would also host “invited guests” to be a part of three-day-long string of new product debuts. Lots of Dodge enthusiasts would love to be present for a series of new product debuts, which are generally only open to the media, leading some fans of the brand to ask how they get to be one of the invited guests.

In most situations, we aren’t sure how an automaker decides how to pick special guests for an event like this, but we do know one way that non-media can get invited to Dodge Speed Week. Racers who preregister for the Modern Street Hemi Shootout HEMI’nsanity event by Thursday, July 28 will also get an invite to the Dodge product reveals on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the big race day.

That’s right – all you have to do to get invited to the Dodge Speed Week festivities is register to race your modern Hemi-powered machine with the MSHS on August 19 and in addition to a great day at the track with many of the quickest modern Mopar drag racers in the world – you will also get to attend the new product debut events the week before.

HEMI’nsanity Registration

While the Modern Street Hemi Shootout hosts a series of incredible events around the country, HEMI’nsanity in Detroit is their most unique event. In addition to the scheduled race day and the pre-race track rental, the MSHS has a massive parking area along the Woodward Dream Cruise route. For the past few years, with Dodge not hosting a display area, the MSHS has been the go-to for Mopar lovers at the Dream Cruise who wanted to check out the baddest Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Chrysler vehicles in attendance. Their parking area even has a judged car show, hosted by the folks from the LX and Beyond Nationals.

Basic racer registration for HEMI’nsanity costs $120 and includes two classes – the East Coast Moparts Bracket class and the racers’ choice of one of the time-based index classes. If you want to race and show off your car at the MSHS Woodward Dream Cruise parking area, the ticket costs $180 and includes a great barbecue lunch at the parking area. If you buy either of those tickets by Thursday, July 28, you will also get the invite to attend the Dodge Speed Week product reveal events on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday leading up to the MSHS race day at Milan Dragway.
