Ram 1500 Revolution coming early next year

Ram is bringing out the Ram 1500 Revolution battery-electric concept a bit later than expected—at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, on January 5, 2023.

Ram 1500 Revolution BEV truck

The truck is a “visionary roadmap” given that Ram’s actual production vehicle won’t arrive until 2024, according to the company. It “will push past the competition as leaders in a combination of areas truck customers care about the most: range, towing, payload, and charge time.”

A prior roadmap suggested that it would have up to a 500 mile range, though this is likely to only be available at extra cost. The pricing may not be as high as originally thought, given that GM is planning its Equinox BEV at $30,000. The truck will co-exist with the gasoline-powered Ram 1500; Stellantis is projecting a 50/50 internal-combustion to battery-electric mix in 2030 sales.

Ram will have “electrified solutions” (which presumably includes hybrid engines) in “the majority of its segments” by 2025. The battery-powered ProMaster is due next year.
