Ram’s second run of Built to Serve trucks are here

Ram’s second installment of “Built to Serve” limited-edition models geared towards first responders is aimed at Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers. Ram’s leader, Mike Koval, Jr., noted, “The Ram 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ EMS edition is our way of honoring and expressing deep gratitude to the frontline heroes who serve or have served our country.”

Ram 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ EMS edition trucks have two paint colors that evoke the spirit, mission, and history of their service—Hydro Blue and Bright White; the black interior has blue accent stitching. The outside has a United States flag and “Built to Serve” decal on each of the rear quarter panels; wheel flares; dual four-inch black exhaust tips; and 20-inch aluminum wheels with a unique-to-the-edition Technical Gray finish. A blackout theme includes a black grille and surround; black bumpers; black-bezel premium lighting; black badges; and black wheel-to-wheel side steps.

The seats include Velcro panels for customers’ patches; front seat-back panels are covered with Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (PALS/MOLLE) webbing to attach additional equipment or pouches. Ram 1500 Built to Serve editions also feature:

  • “Built to Serve” instrument panel badge
  • Deeply bolstered performance cloth and premium vinyl Sport seats
  • All-weather rubber slush mats
  • Lockable console storage (optional)
  • 4×4 Off-Road Group content:
    • All-terrain tires
    • Electronic locking rear axle
    • Hill descent control
    • Skid plate and tow hooks
    • Heavy-duty off-road-calibrated shock absorbers

Built to Serve flag

Ram “Built to Serve” editions can be added to Big Horn/Lone Star Crew Cab models with the V6 and Hemi powertrains. The retail price is $54,915, plus $1,895 destination; they can be ordered now for production in the fourth quarter, and will be made in Michigan.
