As modern vehicles go, the Wrangler is easier to clean out, but if you get into a situation where mud of flying into the cockpit, cleaning the seats and floor can be time consuming. “Our Jeep Performance Parts team at Mopar is consistently designing innovative features for the iconic Jeep Wrangler,” said Mark Bosanac, North America senior vice president, Mopar service, parts and customer care. “With our growing portfolio of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories, our customers win with new options to upgrade and personalize their vehicles.”

These two new products are the JPP heavy duty flooring system and the JPP heavy duty vinyl seats from Katzkin. These items are available through the dealership ordering system, so they can be equipped like any other factory option, making for a seamless ordering process for a new Jeep Wrangler buyer.

Jeep Performance Parts Heavy-Duty Flooring System

First up, we have the JPP Heavy-Duty Flooring System, which is essentially an extreme floor mat that covers pretty much the entire floor. This is not a set of rugged floor mats – this is a large item that requires the seats to be removed for installation and once in place, it protects every bit of the floor that is likely to take on mud and water. The system includes plugs at several low points, so Jeep Wrangler owners can just pull those plugs and rinse the floor with a hose to get mud out of the cabin.

The dealership order code for the flooring system is CKJ and the factory-installed price via the Mopar Custom Shop is $995 for those folks who are buying a new Jeep Wrangler and ordering this item from the factory. For those who already have their Wrangler and want to buy this to install themselves, it is Mopar part number 82216498AC and it has an MSRP of $750.

Jeep Performance Parts Heavy-Duty Vinyl Seats

The second new item is the JPP Heavy-Duty Vinyl seat package from Katzkin. Katzkin is arguably the top name factory-style seat skins and covers, having worked with Mopar for years. In most cases, they provide premium leather covers, but for the Jeep Wrangler, they have creates vinyl seat covers that look like premium seating materials. These seat skins have embroidered Jeep logos on the front seat-backs and contrasting white stitching along the bolsters and headrest, offering the look of a premium leather seating package.

However, these vinyl seats can be completely hosed-off after a day in the dirt. If you get a bunch of mud on the seats while playing at an off-road park, if your kid spills a chocolate shake on the way home from a fast food run or if your best friend loses his dinner after a long night of clubbing, all you have to do is get the garden hose and since the seats off. If you have the JPP heavy-duty floor system, you can then pull the plugs and rinse the mess right out the bottom of the vehicle.
