Recall Monday: move over STLA, Jaguar’s hot this week

Stellantis failed to have any American recalls over the past week, but Jaguar Land Rover has the recall scene covered. The Range Rover PHEVs are both being recalled because their pedestrian warning sound isn’t good enough; so is the Jaguar I-Pace (2021-22).  In the ICE end, 2023 Defender, Discovery, Ranger Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover Velar are all being recalled because the engine cam carrier may leak oil. The 2023 Jaguar F-Pace is being recalled for the same problem.

Detroit Complex - Mack rendering
This image of the former Mack Avenue Engine Plants, now the Detroit Complex, was the only one tagged with any of the brands in this story. Mack Trucks had a fire-related recall affecting 2019-23 LRBE trucks.

Other recalls, for those who are curious, covered Porsche Panameras and Bentley Continentals for short-circuiting external coolant pumps; 2023 Kia Tellurides for nonfunctional second row side airbags; Hyundai for roof moldings that come off; and the 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 because the battery control module may restart. Finally, the 2023 Winnebago Revel came with incorrect tire size labels.

Trucks were also recalled—Autocar had two recalls, one for inaccurate fuel gauges, a somewhat more serious one for self-releasing parking brakes. 2019-23 Mack and Volvo cabin heaters may catch fire. Kalmar tilt-cab hydraulics may fail. The only other recalls were from Lion Electric.
