This past weekend, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona 2-door made its public production-form debut at 2024 Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge. While the original Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee has been on display at events around the country for the past 18 months, the automotive festival in Pontiac, Michigan marked the first time that production-spec Charger EVs were on display to the public – and there were lots of them, too.
There were a variety of 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack models on display at Roadkill Nights in their “launch edition trim”, including the Direct Connection Stage 1 package for the R/T and Stage 2 for the Scat Pack. Attendees also got a chance to see the new Charger 2-door in a variety of colors, including orange, white, metallic red with and without black hood paint and dark metallic blue with unique dual stripes featuring a design of repeating Fratzog logos.
In addition to introducing event attendees to the production-spec 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona, the brand issued the first video footage depicting the production “exhaust sound” of the new EV. We talked about that when the video debuted, and you can check that out by clicking here.
Dodge has issued two others videos on their official YouTube channel over the course of the past week, both of which use the title “Built Upon a Legacy”, both of which focus on exterior design and both of which are embedded below.
In short, in the past week the Dodge brand has rolled out a video showcasing the production “exhaust sound” of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona, the brand has offered up a collection of production-spec 2024 Dodge Charger Daytonas for the public to check out in person and the brand has rolled out two new videos that focus on the design.
When you put these moves together, it suggests that the arrival of the next generation Dodge Charger is getting very close. While speaking with Dodge boss Matt McAlear at Roadkill Nights, he told me that there would be a healthy stock of new Chargers at dealerships across the country in the fourth quarter of the year. The fourth quarter of the year begins in 46 days, and while we don’t expect them to arrive on the first day of October, it shouldn’t be too long before eager Dodge EV owners can go buy their next generation muscle car.
