The only full retrospective of the Chrysler marque, covering everything from Maxwell’s birth to the present day, has just been released in an inexpensive black-and-white format. By taking out the photos and otherwise leaving the book intact, the price could be dropped from the usual $32 down to $19.24.
The text size and basic formatting is the same, other than a more generous top page margin, but the page count fell to 94 pages. The book is in 8.5×11 format, but with dual columns for easier readability. The pages are a cream-colored paper also suited to easy reading.
Century of Chrysler was released earlier this year in color, with many photos. The hardcover version, at $39, has been more popular than the softcover.
David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
