The 9th annual Rebelle Rally wrapped up this past weekend and once again, a Jeep took the win, with the team of Nena Barlow, Teralin Petereit and their 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave claiming the Bone Stock class win and the overall victory. This is the third overall win for Barlow and Petereit in the past four seasons (they finished second overall in 2023) and the seventh win for Jeep in the nine years of the only women’s off-road navigation rally in the United States.
“Congratulations to Nena and Teralin on their incredible victory at the 2024 Rebelle Rally behind the wheel of a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave,” said Bob Broderdorf, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “Their class and overall wins are a testament to their skill, perseverance and teamwork, as well as the unmatched Desert Rated capabilities of Jeep Gladiator Mojave. We also extend our congratulations to the 16 private teams that completed the Rebelle Rally with their personal Jeep vehicles. Your trust in our vehicles, along with your endurance and achievements, inspires everyone in the Jeep community.”
Barlow and Petereit drove/navigated their 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave to a total of 1380 points, 91% of the total points available through the week-long race through the desert, beating the second place team of Shelby Hall / Rori Lewis in a 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor by 59 points.
“The course was rough, the competition was tough, but it was like the Mojave was built for exactly this rally,” said Barlow. “We ran hard for all eight days and used all the advantages that the Mojave gave us with the fast desert suspension and the rear locker for climbing rocky hills. Me, Teralin and the Mojave finished whole and happy!”
As mentioned above, Barlow and Petereit finished second overall in 2022, but they took home the overall, Bone Stock and Electrified class wins in 2022 and 2021 in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. Back in 2020, Teralin Petereit took the overall win with Kaleigh Miller as her teammate, with the two campaigning a 2020 Jeep Wrangler.
“Barlow, Petereit and Jeep remain a winning combination at the Rebelle Rally,” said Rebelle Rally Founder Emily Miller. “Not only did the Jeep Gladiator Mojave perform flawlessly, capturing the win, but did it as a Bone Stock vehicle with no modifications. Impressive.”
A while back we had reported that a 2025 Ram 1500 RHO would be competing in this year’s Rebelle Rally, piloted by Jill Ciminillo and Kristin Shaw. They finished 35th overall in the field of 58 (4×4 Class) and 12th in the Bone Stock class with a score of 845 points.
It should be noted that although Jeep won the Rebelle Rally for the 7th time in 9 years, the Ford Bronco had an incredible showing at this year’s event. As mentioned above, the 2023 Bronco Raptor of Hall and Lewis finished second, but Bronco teams also held the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh spots in the 4×4 class. This strong contingent could prove to be a bigger challenge for the Jeep teams in next year’s event.
