The NHTSA announced two Stellantis recalls along with those of Ford, Mercedes, Ferrari, and other companies.
At Stellantis, the previously-announced 2025 Ram 1500 recall covered nonfunctional electronic stability controls, due to improper handling of a part. At Chrysler, side curtain airbags may not work on the 2020-23 Pacifica/Voyager minivans. The factory apparently did not secure their connector properly; the fix, not surprisingly, is to secure the connector. Only 26 minivans in the US were affected, according to the recall notice, so this is not quite as serious as it could be.
GM had one recall this week—in the 2025 Cadillac XT4, the passenger side airbag may deploy improperly. Nissan’s 2023-24 Z pop-up engine hood may not activate in a crash.
At Ford, there were several recalls; the 2025 Explorer/Aviator rear view camera display may be blank—along with that of the 2023-24 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450. The 2024 Mustang instrument panel may also go blank. The 2023-24 Ford Transit rear wheels may either lock up or leave the axle.
At Mercedes, the disabled emergency call system may fail on 2021 S series cars, and the driver’s seat rail may not have been put on right on the 2023 GLC 300.
Finally, Ferrari had loose driveshaft screws on various 2023-24 cars.
David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
