Following Stellantis’ strategy of full service over the vehicle’s full lifespan, Ram is launching its second generation of Ram Professional commercial solutions at the 2024 National Truck and Equipment Work Truck Week show. The Ram Professional program covers all Ram vehicles, which the company claimed had the lowest cost of ownership in every segment.
Ram Professional is a new business unit. It is built on seven pillars (the press release showed them in a different order):
- Upfit friendliness: making it easy to adapt trucks and vans to any need (the ProMaster and chassis cabs are particularly well engineered for upfitters)
- Financing and service support, with new maintenance contracts now available; and expanded mechanical coverage with 24 hour roadside assistance. The new Stellantis Financial group can finance up to 100% of the cost, with closed-ended leasing and commercial lines of credit as well.
- Connected services, such as fleet management tools
- Electrification and charging (the latter through Free2Move)
- Mobility (shared vehicle services, subscriptions, mobile parking services)
- Direct products and vehicle solutions including gasoline, diesel, and electric options for vans and pickups.
Ram Professional will have “more offerings available throughout 2024.”
To support Ram Professional, Jeff Kommor has been appointed Senior Vice Presidnet of Commercial Sales.

After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
