This week brought no new Stellantis recalls, but multiple years of the Dodge Journey are being investigated by the NHTSA because the door locks can refuse to release, which is a problem of the crossover is on fire or in a lake or in a hot parking lot. A number of vendors sell portable glass-breakers which may be advisable as part of the emergency equipment of any car.
In other news, Tesla software for 2021-24 cars may not detect an unlatched hood, with hilarious or tragic consequences. 2023 Nissan Ariyas may stall due to a software error, and 2024 Hyundai Santa Fes may have an unintentional airbag deployment or deactivation—so they may work without reason, or fail to work. Hyundai Genesis coupes (2010-13) may move when the car is started even though nobody wants them to.
