In a happy note for Dodge followers, the Charger EV appears to have gone into actual production, with some dealers taking orders. One dealer advertised their first 2024 Charger, an all wheel drive electric car with a build date of mid-September; they asked for a $500 deposit. The car itself has the Scat Pack, dual 400V motors (800V are still at least a year off), 670 hp, 305/35 and 325/35 Z-rated 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires, and various groups.
They are asking MSRP and require buyers to be verified and vetted as retail customers rather than exporters or resellers. The total price for this particular car, including nearly $2,000 in destination, is $85,965, but it is quite well loaded—and will be fully charged when sold. The base price of the car being sold by this dealer is $65,000 plus destination.
