Stellantis will be the first company to use California Love in a car ad. Though it is “legendary” and “pivotal,” so no explanation is needed, the press release did say that California Love is a hip-hop song from the 1990s. According to marketing chief Olivier Francois, the song “captures the spirit of the Jeep Wrangler and our owners around the world in a way no other can.”
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is available for ordering in the United States and Europe, with deliveries soon starting in Europe. The ad campaign is dubbed “famous for freedom.” The ad will appear on Jeep’s YouTube channel at some point.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
