The Voyager minivan is returning to the company lineup for 2025, but as was the case a few years back, it will be a budget model of the Chrysler Pacifica (rather than a model from the Plymouth brand). With a starting price of $39,995 (without destination), it is the lowest-priced option in the 2025 Pacifica lineup.
Starting back in the 1970s, the Plymouth Voyager was the Plymouth version of a Dodge van. In the 70s and early 80s, the Voyager was a full-sized van, but when the minivan was introduced in the 1980s, the Plymouth Voyager was downsized to share a structure with the Dodge Caravan. When the Plymouth brand was discontinued after 2000, the Voyager name was benched for 20 years, before returning for 2020 and 2021 as a budget model for the Chrysler Pacifica. The Voyager then became a fleet-only package for 2022 and 2023, but for 2025, it rejoins the full (consumer) lineup of the popular minivan.
“The 2025 Chrysler Voyager offers customers a well-equipped, budget-conscious minivan and reinforces our brand’s commitment to delivering choices in the segment Stellantis created more than 40 years ago and continues to lead,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand CEO – Stellantis. “We’ve added many comfort, technology-focused and safety features as standard equipment on Chrysler Voyager, including standard Stow ‘n Go seating, making the Voyager an attractive, value-packed option within the Chrysler family of minivans.”
While the 2025 Chrysler Voyager is a budget model, it is far from the stripped-down packages of yesteryear. Offered only in Red Hot, Diamond Black and Bright White, the exterior appearance of the 2025 Voyager includes 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, daytime running lights and an acoustic windshield. Frankly, it kind of looks like a base model from the outside, but that isn’t the case when you step inside.
Standard interior features of the 2025 Chrysler Voyager include the 10.1-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital cluster, “leatherette” seats, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth phone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a long list of safety features which includes Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, Rear Park Assist, electronic stability control, brake assist, Child Seat Anchor System, the ParkView rear backup camera system and much more.
Finally, the 2025 Chrysler Voyager is powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, delivering 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque with help from a 9-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel-drive.
The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica lineup starts with the Voyager LX, then moving up to the Pacifica Select, the Pacifica Limited and the Pacifica Pinnacle. Of course, the Pacifica is also offered as a plug-in hybrid, which is available in either Select of Pinnacle trim.
