He may be most closely associated with Dodge and the “brotherhood of muscle,” but Tim Kuniskis was also, and is again, the head of Ram, Stellantis’ trucks-and-vans division. The company confirmed the move to Stellpower today.
The news just came out today, after being rumored early in the morning, according to Automotive News, 17 minutes ago. There hasn’t been an official press release yet.
NBC has also run the story, though they are citing it as a rumor based on an announcement to employees. The announcement noted that Ram was important enough to need a single leader with no other jobs.
Christine Feuell, who had been running Ram and Chrysler, will now lead Chrysler and Alfa Romeo in North America. Larry Dominique, leader of Alfa Romeo in North America, is leaving the company. Jeff Kommor will lead North American sales.
Kuniskis had retired in June.
David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
