Few recalls were announced this week, which was dominated by Ford announcements. The timing was good for Ford, since few read recall announcements on Labor Day.
Ford fuel injectors may leak, possibly causing a fire, on the 2023-24 Escape, 2025 Explorer, 2024 Mustang, and 2023 Lincoln Corsair. Intake valves may break on the 2021-22 Bronco, Edge, Explorer, F-150, Aviator, and Nautilus. In addition, the wrong gross axle weight rating was printed on labels of the 2024 Transit.
Jaguar has a recall for overheating on the 2019 i-Pace, and Toyota noted that the aftermarket tow hitch cover on its 2023-24 Sequoia Hybrid may detach. OEM Systems recalled its rear bumper mounting brackets for the 2024 Silverado 1500 because they may have the wrong rating.
Stellantis and General Motors did not have any announced recalls during this period.
