2025 Stellantis Drive for Design Contest Winners Announced

Since before the name Stellantis was created, the company formerly known as FCA has held the Drive for Design contest to promote, encourage and bolster automotive design at the high school level. For 13 years, the company has invited high school students who are interested in vehicle design to create their vision of a futuristic vehicle and the winners get to spend time working alongside the company’s top designers during a summer internship.

Yesterday, Stellantis announced the winners of the 2025 Drive for Design contest. The winner (first place) is Ryan Panizzoli, an 11th grader from Michigan, and his entry is the Chrysler Quantum shown above. As mentioned above, winning will afford him an opportunity to work a summer internship at the Ram Truck design studio, but he also gets an Apple iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil, an invitation to serve as a student judge at the prestigious EyesOn Design car show at Ford House in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and his artwork will be featured on Stellantis North America social media channels.

Each of them will also get the Apple gadgets and the invitation to judge at the EyesOnDesign show, as well as having their artwork featured on the company’s social channels. The second and third place finishers will also have a virtual networking opportunity with Stellantis designers and a scholarship to the College for Creative Studies three-week Pre-college Summer Experience “Transportation Design” program in Detroit.

“Judging the entries this year was a huge challenge for the team, as we had to choose between some outstanding sketches that showed a ton of effort and focus,” said Mark Trostle, head of Ram Truck and Mopar design for Stellantis. “I’d like to congratulate the winners for sharing and showing off their talents and creativity at such a young age.”

If you have a high school age child who is interested in automotive design, this is definitely a program that you should consider for them in the future.
