2026 Dodge Charger Daytona sedan: Official specs (updated)

The four-door 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona sedan has just been previewed by Stellantis. Aimed at a much, much larger market than the coupe, it continues to have electric power with a quoted 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds via a 670-horsepower dual motor setup; it’s a Hellcat Redeye class performance figure. The Track Pack is now optional on the Scat Pack, which with the loss of the R/T becomes the new entry level.

The 2026 Charger Daytona runs the quarter mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds.

Standard features, regardless of doors, includes different drive modes (Sport, Track, Drag, Custom, etc.); race options including Launch Control and Drift/Donut mode; PowerShot, adding 40 hp for 10 seconds; Fratzonic, which can be shut off or reduced; the front R-wing spoiler; all wheel drive with a mechanical limited-slip rear differential; and best in class rear cargo and passenger volume. The base range is 241 miles.

The four-door version has the same “hidden hatch” feature as the two-door, which competes in the tiny “extremely large coupe” class. The rear cargo area is now 38.5 cubic feet, considerably more than the 2023 Charger.

The Track Pack has 16-inch Brembo brakes with vented rotors and six pistons in front, four in back; they have 30% more swept area than the old SRT, the largest brakes ever sold on a Dodge. The biggest tire package on any Dodge has the 20-inch wheels with Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires—305/35ZR20XL in front, 325/35ZR20 in back. These are optional on the Track Pack (now officially called Track Package.)

Single-pedal driving is possible with the maximum regenerative braking level; there are three levels of adjustment, done through the paddle shifters. The standard center screen is 12.3 inches, while the cluster has a 16-inch screen. Performance Pages have an EV section. A pistol-grip shifter, nine-speaker Alpine stereo, dual-zone temperature control, and remote start are all standard, along with emergency braking, lane keeping with blind spot control, traffic signs, drowsy driver detection, front, rear, and side park warnings, rear cross path warnings, rain-sensing wipers, crash notification, and emergency connections.

The battery can go from 20% to 80% charge in 24 minutes on a Level 3 charger. The company did not mention this, but Charger was expected to have a Tesla-compatible physical charging port for 2026. It can also be charged on 120V or 240V Level 1 or 2 chargers. A gasoline version is expected in the same model year.

The original Dodge Charger Daytona was designed for NASCAR speedway racing, and broke the 200 mph speed record; the retail version, which was quite similar to the racing cars, had a choice of 426 Hemi or the standard 440 V8 engines. In 1975-77, Dodge released a thinly disguised Chrysler Cordoba with the same name; decades later, they used the Daytona name on a much more potent four-door Charger Hemi, but none was like the first. The record-setting 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona has recently been found and restored.

UPDATES

The drive modes are controlled by a button on the steering wheel; the driver information in both the cluster and head-up display change accordingly. The head-up display has a better virtual image distance now, with a large field of view.

Every two-door sales package is also optional on the four-door model. These include Plus Group (that is, Scat Pack Plus)—64-color lighting choices, better LED headlamps, charging pad, 360° surround view cameras, and power hatch. Other options include a massive glass moonroof, Alpine Pro audio, carbon-and-suede package, and Blacktop.
