Toyota may be the best selling automaker in the world, but its Sienna didn’t thrill Americans in 2024; it racked up 75,037 sales last year, admittedly a 13% gain over 2023, but not enough to challenge the Pacifica. Toyota had to console itself with 475,193 RAV4 sales.
Honda topped Toyota but not Chrysler with 80,293 U.S. Odyssey sales, a 7% increase over 2023. Honda’s best seller, the CR-V, racked up nearly 403,000 sales in the United States, though.
Over at Kia, the Carnival continued to avoid the rest of the marque’s general success, with just 49,726 sales—again, a reasonable increase over 2023.
Chrysler, comfortable in its dominance of minivans, split out the Voyager from the Pacifica. The mainline minivan had 107,356 U.S. sales, and the slightly cheaper Voyager racked up 12,033, for 2024. Combined, the two minivans were good for 119,388 sales, or 96% of Chrysler’s total sales.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
