The head of Chrysler, Christine Feuell, told CNBC that the 101-year-old marque’s future is safe, with new product in 2026 including a refreshed Chrysler Pacifica and a large crossover.
Earlier statements about Chrysler suggested the marque would be fully battery-electric, but this plan seems to have been ejected. An electric minivan is still planned, but not for 2026. That model-year will, instead, see a V6 and updated PHEV version. The Pacifica uses a unique plug-in hybrid system which was largely superseded by Jeep’s 4xe system.
The crossover, in contrast, will be available in battery-electric and hybrid form. While Feuell was not specific, it’s likely to be on STLA Large rather than shared with the minivan’s unique, CUSW-based platform.
