The New York Auto Show has been a rather unexpected background for the outdoor Camp Jeep so long it’s become a tradition. In 2024, despite Chrysler sitting out the show, Jeep was right out in front—with Ford’s better-named imitation having to take less prominent space.
The show itself runs from March 18 through April 27, seven days per week. Visitors are likely to find mass transit the best way to visit the show, given the cost of parking and how close the ferry and subway are (the Hudson Yards stop leaves visitors roughly a block from the Javits entrance).
There‘s no word yet on whether Stellantis will rejoin the big car New York show this year.
David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
