Stellantis’ new chief executive officer will Antonio Filosa, starting on June 23, 2025.
With 25 years of experience under his belt, Filosa had successfully led FCA/Stellantis South America for years; he has also been Chief Operating Officer and Chief Quality Officer of Stellantis North America for around six months. Filosa appeared to resolve highly visible supplier, dealership, and union disputes.
Antonio Filosa had experience in Europe, South America, and, though it was brief, North America, unlike other candidates for the position. Stellantis credited him with the success of Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën, Ram, and Jeep in South America, as well as helping to create the Pernambuco plant in Brazil, which created a major new market for Jeep. Filosa was quoted as saying:
“It is my great honor to be named the CEO of this fantastic Company. … I have always been inspired by the immense talent, passion and commitment of our people at Stellantis and the power of trusting our teams to achieve excellence. We have the world’s best and most iconic brands in automotive history and an over 100-year heritage of innovation. That legacy, combined with our relentless dedication to giving our customers the products and services they love, will continue to be key to our success.”
His past work includes procurement, logistics, finances, and plant management.
John Elkann will continue as chairman.
