They might just be fast-feedback cars, or maybe one or two special editions going to influencers, but Stellantis reported 133 Jeep Wagoneer S sales during 2024. Technically, that means they delivered on their promise to have the car at dealers during the year, just as they delivered on the New Charger.
The hot electric muscle car (the Charger) showed up with 2,774 sales in the fourth quarter, suggests that the EV hatchback is arriving at dealerships—even if you ignore the 2,182 Dodge Challenger sales also reported for the fourth quarter of 2022 (or the 626 Chrysler 300 sales for the same period).
The bizarrely named Wagoneer S shares little or nothing with the Wagoneer itself; the Wagoneer S is built on the STLA Large platform, like the new Charger, and is all-electric. A gasoline version will be called Cherokee; they share the body code KM.
The 2025 model is not yet posted to the Jeep site, and in another odd departure from normal practice, might not be available for some time.
The Wagoneer S runs 0-60 in 3.4 seconds with its 400V electrical systems, and provides a range of around 300 miles (down from a targeted 400 miles, which may still arrive in the future). The Launch Edition is priced at nearly $71,000, and comes with two seat colors in an otherwise black interior; the red seats, free in cheap Mazdas, are an extra $1,000. A 12.3 inch display is standard, while a tow package is $995. If you want any color other than black-and-white, it will cost $595 more.
Other than the nickel-and-dime additions, the price is not unusual for the features—a 600 horsepower dual-motor powertrain, four wheel drive, foot-diagonal center screen, dual-pane sunroof, heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, active driving, adaptive cruise, blind spot and rear cross path detection, LED lights, and so forth.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
