Supercharged Ram TRX Ignition, other new trucks unveiled

Ram Ignition scoop

Today, Ram unveiled the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition at the State Fair of Texas, along with the 2022 Ram 1500 Longhorn SouthFork and (RAM)RED.

Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition

The Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition enhances the already-well-appointed TRX with more unique content for personalization. Only 875 will be made for the entire United States, with a unique combination of technology, graphics, performance, and exterior appearance straight from the factory; the headline is still that supercharged Hemi under the hood, but the unique orange-and-black paint scheme and graphics package project the image more clearly.

Does the number 875 (the number of 2022 Ignitions being made) mean anything? We’ll leave that to the numerologists, for now.

The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition also includes the proven and reliable high-performance 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 engine, which is able to maintain its full output without flagging. The list price starts at $93,280 (including destination), and ordering opens in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Ram 1500 Longhorn SouthFork

Ram topped the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study in 2021, the only truck-only brand to every do so. The latest J.D. Power APEAL study, which rates the emotional bond between customers and their vehicles, named the 2021 Ram 1500 as the best vehicle in the large light-duty pickup category for the second year in a row.
