Chrysler Capital gets one star on Yelp

Chrysler Capital, the lender which Stellantis encourages its USA dealerships to use, is rated just one star on Yelp.

The program is administered by Santander Consumer USA Holdings, which unsurprisingly also had a low rating—one star (1.2, to be exact, with 128 reviews).

Other loan programs were seen as being better; for example, Navy Federal Credit Union had three to four stars depending on location, as did TD Bank.

Comments about Chrysler Capital included “their online and phone customer service are absolute garbage” and “Despite sending a formal demand letter, I received no response. During my most recent call — which I’m currently on as I write this — I was told again that the system is “acting up.” … This is now the eighth time I’ve been told the checks were being mailed.”

Others complained about being told to send payoff checks through the mail, where they were lost; being hung up on mid-sentence; applying a payoff to the wrong account; and making an error on customer credit accounts. You can see the comments for yourself.

In fairness, automobile sellers are often rated with a single star, and some other auto loan companies have similar issues—but those companies don’t carry the name of one of Stellantis’ marques.
