As Antonio Filosa moved up from the CQO (Chief Quality Officer) position to become Stellantis CEO, Jacquet was tapped to replace him as head of quality. Stellantis released little about Jacquet: he was the deputy chief engineering and technology officer, has 25 years of experience, and played a major role in the creation of STLA Medium, which some say is an evolution of prior Peugeot platforms, modified to allow battery-electric versions.
For more, we must turn to LinkedIn, where we find that Sébastien Jacquet comes (unsurprisingly) from the Peugeot side of Stellantis, where he was a senior vice president when Stellantis was created. He started as an automotive engineer, later getting an MBA to lead business units as management.
Jacquet claimed that, as quality manager of the joint venture DongFeng-PSA, he led the customer quality improvement plan while, by using LEAN, cutting customer problem-solving times by 40%. The last revision of his “about” blurb noted, “I am now leading from Paris headquarter the global Vehicle Programs and Life Series department to replace next vehicles generation for STELLANTIS brands on A/B and C/D segments.”
Much more recently—36 minutes ago—he posted:
As you can see, I still remember how to tie a tie…
More seriously, I would like to thank the engineering team for supporting me all those years.
It has been a fun journey and don’t worry, I will not be too far away.
And to the quality team, I can’t wait to start engaging.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest Mopar site (Allpar) in 1994. After a chemo-induced 2007-2010 break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales (Chrysler history and “permanent” car and truck pages). He most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the marque.
