A Closer Look at the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Interior

Earlier this week, we had an onslaught of news pertaining to the next generation Dodge Charger, with loads of details on the Charger Daytona coupe, along with briefer details on the 2025 Charger Daytona sedan and the Charger Six Pack. We talked a bit about the interior, but there was so much information about the drivetrain and exterior design – which have gotten the bulk of attention in online conversations – that the interior got lost in the shuffle a bit. With that in mind, we wanted to take a focused look at the cockpit of the new Dodge Charger Daytona, including images of the cabin from many different angles.

As we pointed out in our articles on Tuesday about the 2024 and 2025 Dodge Charger, the next generation car will debut later this year for the 2024 model year strictly as the Charger Daytona coupe. The sedan and gas models will come in 2025, so the majority of the information and images pertained to the all-electric coupe. Due to that focus by the company, all of the images shown here are of the two-door coupe, but it is our understanding that the cabin of the sedan will be very similar in terms of design and materials. In the meantime, here is a closer look at the cabin of the next generation Dodge Charger.

When you climb into the driver’s seat of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona, at first glance, it has a sort of futuristic-minimalist feel, with one screen for the gauge cluster, a second screen in the middle of the dash to handle the infotainment and interior functions, a fairly simple center console and a handful of buttons tucked below the main face of the dashboard. The linear layout of the dashboard and the screens is designed to provide a similar look to that of the second generation Charger (1968-1970), and considering the level of technology, the designers did a great of creating a very clean feel throughout the cabin.

Since multiple screens have become relatively normal in new cars, it is the steering wheel of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona that stands out the most, with a flat bottom and flat top design that is unlike anything else offered by the brand in the past. Within the steering wheel there are buttons to control the information on the gauge cluster, the drive modes, the adaptive cruise control system, the hands-free phone system, the regenerative braking system and the PowerShot system. We cannot see to know for sure, but we expect that the back of the steering wheel will have buttons to control the sound system, similar to past models from every Stellantis brand.

The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T comes standard with a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and the Scat Pack comes with a 16-inch digital gauge cluster, while both come with the 12.3-inch infotainment system running UConnect 5. As mentioned above, the gauge cluster is controlled through buttons on the steering wheel, but the 12.3-inch infotainment screen also has some dedicated hard buttons for the HVAC along with some dedicated buttons and knobs on each side of the screen for the sound system, the heated/cooled seats and the heated steering wheel.

The standard sound system in the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona coupe in R/T and Scat Pack trim is a 9-speaker, 506-watt Alpine system, but there is also an optional 914-watt, 18-speaker Alpine system for both trim levels.

Between the infotainment screen and the center console of the Dodge Charger Daytona is a collection of buttons for things like lane-keep assistance, traction control and parking assist, and the shift console area has the new shifter, the start/stop button and the parking brake control. The console itself has a design that has a similar look to the Dodge center consoles of the early 1970s and the outgoing Challenger, with the shifter area and a pair of cupholders sitting in an area that is lower than the armrest, bolstering the driver-centric cockpit feel.

Furthering the cockpit feel is the way that the dashboard of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona flows around into the door panels, creating a very modern, sporty look that I love. As that main styling line of the dash flows into the door panels, it heads downward, introducing the outer armrest for the driver and passenger, complete with controls for the power windows and power exterior mirrors (on the driver’s side).

This line that runs from the dash around into the door panels also houses the new Dodge Attitude Adjustment lighting. This LED lighting system runs 270 degrees around the cabin, with 64 different colors and varying intensity, allowing the driver to customize the glow of the cockpit at the push of a button. Frankly, I love this feature, as I have always been a fan of custom lighting settings in those vehicles that offer it, and the new Charger appears to have the most elaborate custom lighting system on the market.

Cloth the “leatherette” seats are standard on the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack, but there are optional packages with heated Nappa leather seats in black or Demonic Red. There are also high-backed, fixed headrest seats that have a distinct racing-inspired design, complete with pass-through areas for a racing harness. These sportier seats are available as part of the Plus Package, the Track Package and the Carbon and Suede Package.

New Dodge Charger Cargo Area

Finally, thanks to the “hidden hatch” design, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona has a gigantic cargo area with easy access. When the back seats are folded flat, the Charger coupe offers 38.5 cubic feet of cargo space, and thanks to the huge opening of the hatchback, you can easily load things like large boxes or four mounted tires for a track day.
