The Jeep Wagoneer S battery electric vehicle was first announced as a concept back in September 2022 with minimal detail and frankly, we haven’t learned much new about since then. Members of the Jeep team have referenced the upcoming electric Wagoneer at various media events, but we still don’t know a whole lot about the model which will likely be one of Stellantis’ range-topping EVs. Today, Jeep issued a short press release with a front end image and an event shorter video teasing the Wagoneer S, and while we still don’t know much about it – we know that it is slated to arrive this fall.
Unfortunately, there are no new details on the Jeep Wagoneer S in today’s press release, but it reminds us that the company is targeting figures that include 600 horsepower and the ability to sprint from a stop to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds. When the concept was first introduced, the brand simply said that it would be available in 2024 and today’s release narrows that window to the fall of 2024 for the United States (later for other global markets). If it is coming to market as a 2025 model year vehicle, going on sale late in the third quarter or early in the fourth quarter would make perfect sense.
Finally, today’s press release was accompanied by the sole image above, showing the Jeep Wagoneer S from the front. Based on what we can see, this all-electric SUV looks pretty great and I sincerely hope that this is the actual face of the upcoming BEV Jeep. It has a very unique take on the familiar seven-slot Jeep grille, with loads of signature lighting and a very sleek, styling design.
Provided that the Jeep Wagoneer S BEV does indeed go on sale in the fall of 2024, we should learn more about this new SUV in the next few months.
