MyTasks brings dispatchers, drivers together

Ram fleet managers will soon be able to use MyTasks, which Stellantis claims is an industry-first tool for real-time communication, task assignment, and status updates. It puts the fleet manager in touch with drivers in the field, using the built-in infotainment systems. The system can reduce distractions for drivers, use existing equipment, and avoid aftermarket complications.

MyTasks can be pushed to existing vehicles using over-the-air updates (the company did not release a list of vehicles with compatible equipment).

Fleet managers or dispatchers can assign tasks or change schedules of individual drivers via an online portal. Vehicle drivers get nearly-instant notifications via a pop-up message; the drivers can send their assigned destination to the navigation system for routing, and dispatchers can check status.

Free2move will add this to its commercial offer; it can be made available via API integration to B2B partners with a tool to plan daily fleet activities.

Pro One, the Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, will be the first to offer this technology. MyTasks will be available in the first half of this year in Europe on compact and mid-size vans from Citroën, FIAT Professional, Opel, Peugeot and Vauxhall; then, by the end of this year, to large vans and compatible passenger cars in Europe and to commercial vehicles in North America.
