Jeep (or as FCA calls it, Jeep® Brand) has breathlessly announced the new Tuscadero color, “back by demand” as it is “offered for the first time” for $895 in the US or, oddly, $695 in Canada.
The color, a “deep and intense chromatic magenta,” was used in 2021, garnering over 30,000 sales; hence the “return” of a color “offered for the first time” (on a 2024 model). “Happy days are here again,” gushed the press release for a new color, “we’re ‘tickled pink’.” Or furious fuchsia, perhaps?
The color was apparently “highly sought-after.” Wranglers are available in eight other colors, too, many of whose names give no clue as to their actual chromatic qualities.
The color is available on “the following trim levels: [what appears to be all trim levels].” Early versions will be paired with a black hard top, a body-color hard top, or a black soft top; the Sky One-Touch power top will join that list midyear.
While the color may seem expensive, most Jeep Wranglers make any color but white or black (depending on model) an extra-cost option.
