The Ram Clean Air System, standard on the 2022 Ram 1500, filters 95% of air particulates, providing the “cleanest cabin air in a Ram Truck ever,” and separating out pollen, allergens, bacteria, smoke, and other pollutants.
On the Chrysler 300, it’s not called the Ram Clean Air System, but it’s still there.
How does this new, improved system work? Is it basically the same old system with a new filter, or is it hooked up with, say, some electrostatic system, or two filters, one coarse and one fine?
A Stellantis rep looked into the matter and determined that the company had switched to a finer filter—so in theory older cars could be given the newer filters, though the rep did not say this.
In any case, between the raging fires of the west spreading particulates through the land, as well as mold from flooded areas, higher-quality air filters were a timely addition for the 2022 Mopars.
