Original Hellcat Challenger Hood Tops Reader Poll

Last week, we asked our readers to pick which modern Dodge Challenger hood design they think is the best looking option. Since the modern era of the Mopar muscle car was introduced for the 2015 model year, there have been six different hoods offered across the trim lines and after a week of voting, the original SRT Hellcat hood was chosen as the favorite of our readers.

The hood that was introduced on the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and later offered on the Scat Pack models pulled down 30% of the votes. This comes as little surprise, as the original Hellcat hood took an early lead and continued to pull away.

2015 Dodge Challenger Shaker

When we last updated the ongoing poll results, the Shaker hood and 2018 Demon hood were battling back and forth for the second spot, but near the end of the polling period, the Shaker pulled away. The Shaker hood grabbed 21% of the votes while the Demon ranked third with 19% of the votes.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

The “Redeye hood” offered on the modern Hellcat and Redeye Challengers, finished fourth in the voting with 15% and to our surprise, the base “power bulge hood” ranked fifth with 7.5% while the “SRT 392” hood was last with 5% of the total votes.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Dodge Challenger hood poll. We received some questions about a Charger hood poll, so we will be running one of those in the near future as well.
