The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT Hellcat might be gone from the 2024 lineup, but Dodge announced today that the 710 horsepower Durango SRT Hellcat is still available for 2024, giving members of the Brotherhood of Muscle a chance to buy a new supercharged Hemi for at least one more year.
The 2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is mostly unchanged from 2023, and still includes the supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8. With 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque, the Durango Hellcat is the “most powerful SUV on the planet,” boasting a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds, quarter mile time of 11.5 seconds, and a top speed of 180 miles per hour. The quick-shifting 8-speed automatic and advanced all-wheel-drive system make these acceleration numbers easily repeatable; it is also a fine SUV for wet or snowy conditions, making it the perfect Dodge Hellcat vehicle for year-round use.
At launch, the 2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will be sold in 8 exterior colors – 8 of the 9 colors from the 2023 model year, dropping Vapor Grey but keeping DB Black, Destroyer Grey, Frostbite, Night Moves, Red Oxide, Octane Red, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle. Iinterior colors appear to be unchanged: black or Demonic Red, depending on the SRT Hellcat package chosen.
Speaking of packages, the 2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will be made in three trim levels, contrary to some early reports. The standard SRT Hellcat comes with all of the go-fast features and black seats with leather bolsters and suede center sections. When you step up to the SRT Hellcat Plus, you get premium Laguna leather in Demonic Red, along with standard Trailer Tow Group, a power sunroof, and extra advanced safety features. The SRT Hellcat Premium builds on the Plus, adding red seatbelts, a leather-wrapped instrument cluster, carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Every 2024 Durango SRT Hellcat comes with the 10.1-inch UConnect infotainment touchscreen, allowing easy access to the climate control system, the sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, the Dodge Performance Pages, and vehicle settings.
In short, the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat really hasn’t changed much at all from the 2023 model, but that is fine, as it means that the supercharged Hemi is still available from Dodge (as well as Ram) for at least one more model year.
