American Stellantis Marques had no recalls in the past week, but Ford managed to sell 2023 F-150s, Expeditions, and Navigators without heat-treated front axle pinions, and have inactive defoggers in 2023 Transits.

Nissan’s problem sounds a bit more comical—steering wheels which may come off the steering columns (2023 Ariya), while 2023 Mazda CX-30s could drop their trailer harnesses. In the child protection world, 2023 Land Rover Defenders’ third-row child seats could have low strength, while 2021-23 Ferrari SF90s could have their passenger airbags hitting child seats.
Rounding up the week, 2022-23 Toyota Tundra tonneau covers could come off; Lordstown Endurance parking brakes could fail; 2021-23 Kia K5 side curtain airbags might not deploy properly; and, oddly enough, 2012-13 Hyundai Veloster parking sensors may short-circuit, causing fires.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest Mopar site (Allpar) in 1994. After a chemo-induced 2007-2010 break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales (Chrysler history and “permanent” car and truck pages). He most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the marque.
