Ram Celebrates 10 Years of Off-Road Rebellion with the Rebel X

We were focused fully on covering the new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO yesterday, so we didn’t mention that the company had another announcement for the half-ton lineup with the introduction of the Rebel X. For the 2025 model year, the off-road-ready Rebel package turns 10 years old, so to celebrate the trim level’s first decade, Ram has introduced the Rebel X as the ultimate truck to wear the name – with loads of premium features inside and out. It even has a unique cruise control system that is designed for use while off-roading.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X is offered only as a Crew Cab model with the 5’7” bed, powered by the standard 3.0-liter Hurricane I6 with 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel-drive system. The package sits an inch higher than most other 2025 Ram 1500 models thanks to a unique suspension setup that includes Bilstein shocks and a softer rear stabilizer bar, along with unique steering calibration for the elevated ride height. Four-corner air suspension is available, but it is not standard on Rebel X. What is standard is a set of 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 3-inch all terrain rubber, helping this half-ton Ram handle the roughest footing.

Across the front end, the Ram 1500 Rebel X features an all-black grille with the RAM between projection headlights in black bezels under the Ram sport hood. A new, powder-coated off-road bumper includes a powder-coated skid plate, tow hooks and LED fog lights, making the truck even tougher looking across the front. Finally, in addition to the unique graphics, the Rebel X package can be ordered in a unique Mojave Sand exterior color.

Where the Ram 1500 Rebel X really shines is between the doors, as the package is more or less a super-luxury upgrade to the off-road package. This begins with the Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group, which adds a 14.5-inch touchscreen running the latest version of UConnect 5, the 10.25-inch passenger screen, the dual-pane sunroof, a power tailgate, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads, a premium 19-speaker Harman Hardon sound system and much more.

Some other key interior features of the Ram 1500 Rebel X include premium leather bucket seats with the Rebel X logo, red stitching and red perforated seat inserts, a unique 10 anniversary black metal console badge with red accents, a leather wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters and a console mounted shifter.

Finally, the 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X includes the new Rough Road Cruise Control, which is literally cruise control for rough, dirt roads. When the driver sets the speed, the system “reads the terrain ahead of the truck hundreds of times per second to adjust suspension and add or remove weight to the steering wheel”. This should make driving on very rough dirt roads much easier and safer.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X has an MSRP starting at $64,195 (not including the $1,995 destination fee) and you can order this package at your local dealership right now, but the press release introducing the Rebel X states that it will be available for a limited time, so anyone who wants one should order it soon.
