For three decades—since the Viper—Dodge has increasingly conjured images of fire-breathing Hellcats, tire-shredding Demons, and rumbling Hemi V8s that could soundtrack an earthquake. It’s a brand built on brawn—on excess, not dependability (a word Dodge invented), safety, value, or efficiency. Yet, data shows time after time that dependability, safety, value, and efficiency are the biggest … Read more
As time goes on, some have noticed that the Ram 1500 Classic only shows up as a 2023 model in the RamTrucks.com Build & Price section. However, a bit of quick detective work shows that the 2024 Ram 1500 Classic is indeed on the site, just not in Build & Price yet. That is one mystery solved, but then there’s another question that keeps popping up—what happens to the Ram 2500, 3500, and chassis cabs after the 2024 model-year? And will the first-year 2025 Ram 1500 have Hemi V8s after all?
…As for the Ram Heavy Duty series,…
Today, we look at a short list of specifications of the STLA Large chassis platform, relative to the current Dodge Challenger and Charger and the Jeep Wagoneer.

Every sales figure, product release, and rumor from Dodge and Ram seem to bring forth disparaging remarks from people who insist that the company is “digging its own graves by making nothing but BEVs.” Yet, even before the first battery-electric Dodge has been put up for sale, before the Hemi V8 stopped being optional, people … Read more
Earlier today, Stellantis issued a press release on the STLA Large vehicle platform that is to underpin the Dodge Charger Daytona, Jeep Wagoneer S, and other vehicles. Their objective was to highlight the versatility of this platform, which handles both gasoline and battery electric vehicles (BEV), but what caught our attention was a performance figure … Read more
Last week we brought you the news of Dodge “teasing” the next generation Charger in a series of images on social media. We put teasing in quotes because the company didn’t tease the new model so much as give us a pretty clear look at the new Charger from the front, side and rear. It … Read more
There has been very little information about the upcoming all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona while the brand has focused on the 2023 Last Call program. Stellantis has six commercial vehicle brands with five vans, ten pickups, and one “micro mobility offer.” It plans to renew all of them, unveiling the series on October 23—including the new (2024?) Ram ProMaster EV and 2025 Ram 1500 REV, along with a new hydrogen fuel-cell solution for the future. (Past plans showed Ram Heavy Duty pickups running on hydrogen; and Cummins has a hydrogen version of their B-series diesel in the works, though this won’t use fuel cells).
Opinion. Stellantis’ North American car lineups are going through some rough times right now, with the EPA coming down on them hard for emissions fines, the discontinuation of the V8s, the introduction of EVs, and on top of all of that the slow, painful demise of Chrysler. Stellantis needs to do something to pull themselves … Read more

Analysis. The industry is steadily moving towards electrification and full electric (via batteries or hydrogen fuel cells) to help with emissions and fuel economy. While there are many advantages, many in the buying public have vociferously objected—and do so again whenever any article so much as mentions electric cars or, in some cases, hybrids…
